presidents: Vasu Patel and Hares Patel
Vasu Patel is a junior studying Psychology here at the University of Louisville. Vasu's family is from A hmedabad, India. His favorite part about ISA is being a part of cultural events such as Jalsa and Colours, and the idea of how it brings all community member together to learn about the Indian culture. Hares Patel is a junior from Elizabethtown, KY studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Louisville. Hares' family is from Ahmedabad, India. His favorite part about ISA is that it gives him the opportunity to teach others about Indian culture, while also allowing him to connect with his fellow Indian students at Louisville. Hares is also involved on campus as the President of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, the President of the Order of Omega Greek Honors Society, SMART Ambassador and Cardinal Host program, along with being a Team Leader of the RaiseRED Dance Marathon. vice president: Rakhi Patel
Rakhi Patel is a freshman here at UofL and is Biology major. She really likes to hang out with her friends, take pictures, and dance. She loves ISA because not only does it allow her to keep in touch with her culture, but it also gives her a great support system and a network of people who understand her better. She has made some of her best friends though ISA, and she loves being around people with similar backgrounds. ISA is a great way to get involved on campus, and she loves being a part of such a great organization that puts on major events such as Jalsa and Colours.
secretary: Induja Nimma
Induja is a junior biology major here at the University of Louisville. She enjoys eating pani puris, dancing to Bollywood songs in the shower, and playing volleyball. She loves ISA because the group has a strong cultural connection and has decided to embrace it and introduce it to new people. She believes that we are a part of rich Indian culture and ISA does a great job showcasing that in a fun and entertaining way.
treasurer: Ruhi Kulkarni
Ruhi is a freshman business major. She enjoys dancing and eating frozen thin mints. Ruhi loves ISA because her culture is very important to her. The organization allows her to maintain that culture and express it to other students though events such as Colours and Jalsa. She thinks that it is a great way to meet new people that share a similar background that one can relate to. Overall, she thinks it’s a fun way to get involved on campus and make awesome friends.
public relation officer: Lekha Devara
Lekha is a freshman biology and Arabic double major. She enjoys playing tennis, dancing, painting, and eating in her free time. Lekha loves ISA because it provides the perfect platform to stay connected with her culture and be involved on campus. She loves performing in and organizing events such as Jalsa and Colours through which she can expose my peers to the wonderful aspects of Indian culture. Furthermore, ISA allows her to meet new people that share similar experiences and interests. Finally, because of ISA, she has had some of the most fun this year and met some of her closest friends.
cultural secretary: Poonum Haldankar
Poonum Haldankar is a freshman here at UofL. She is majoring in Economics and minoring in Biology. In her free time she likes to sketch, paint, or go for a run! She loves the way this ISA spreads cultural diversity on this campus through its different events and functions and she is so glad that she can be a part of it!
historian: Chandni Bhikha
Chandni Bhikha is a freshman Biology and Psychology double major. She enjoys reading, swimming, and volunteering in her past time. She is also involved in the Pre-Med Fraternity, Phi Delta Epsilon and Project Sunshine. Chandni loves ISA because she gets to spread her culture across campus as well as plan amazing functions that everyone gets to enjoy.

Jarui Desai is a Sophomore studying Finanace and Computer Information Systems here at the University of Louisville. Jarui's family is from Mumbai, India. Her favorite part about ISA is that it gives her an opportunity to meet and connect with other Indian students on campus, while actively engaging the student population with events such as Jalsa and Colors that teach them more about the Indian culture.
